East Hampton Seaplane Service is Taking Off

East Hampton Seaplane Service is Taking Off

Spring is officially here and Shoreline Aviation can’t wait to get started with our seasonal service between New York’s Seaplane Base (East 23rd Street) and East Hampton Airport. In fact, in response to a special request from some dedicated customers, we flew our first “commuter” of the season last Friday afternoon!

Once again this season (our 37th year of providing charter service to the Hamptons) we will offer flights from New York to the Hamptons on Thursday and Friday afternoons, with return flights from the Hamptons to New York on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Some flights also serve Shelter Island.

Flights are already booking up so contact the folks at Sound Aircraft for your reservations (800-443-0031). From now through April 30th you can still buy one of our 10 ticket coupon books and save $300.00.

Remember that Shoreline Aviation offers charter services from 23rd Street or East Hampton to just about any destination in New York or New England. Call our reservations at 800-468-8639, or visit our website: www.shorelineaviation.com.

If you are interested in regular flights to Montauk or Westhampton, drop us a note at info@shorelineaviation.com and we will see what we can do.

Happy travels-
Andrea

You just never know when you’re going to run into someone you know in an airport, but it happens to John Kelly all the time. Over the course of nearly 37 years, we estimate that nearly 1000 pilots have worked at Shoreline Aviation. Recently John was walking through the airport in Honolulu when someone walked… Continue Reading

Easy In, Easy Out

Shoreline Aviation has two amphibious seaplanes based in St. Croix from October to May each year. While most of our customers land in St. Thomas, we have come to realize it is more convenient to come in through St. Croix, particularly when you are arriving on a private jet. There are a few reasons for… Continue Reading

Shoreline Aviation’s Winter Maintenance Program

In the winter Shoreline Aviation’s seaplanes go through rigorous, extended maintenance procedures during which the planes are checked out from one end to the other. Our Caravan seaplanes are made in Wichita by Cessna, the Wipline floats come from Minnesota and Pratt & Whitney of Canada supplies our engines. Each one of these companies has… Continue Reading

Shoreline Aviation’s Twin Tower Gardens

Shoreline Aviation’s Twin Tower Gardens

In an effort to get the whole Shoreline Aviation crew to eat their vegetables, we took advantage of the massive skylight in our lobby entrance to install two aeroponic Tower Gardens. So far we’ve grown lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil and peppers. Aeroponics evolved out of the hydroponics method of growing plants and… Continue Reading
