The New York Weekender Flights

This summer Shoreline Aviation is offering seaplane flights between Tweed Airport in New Haven and the 23rd Street Seaplane Base in New York City. The “New York Weekender Flights” will depart on Thursday and Friday afternoons at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. with return trips on Sunday evening at 7:15 p.m. and Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m.Other departure times may be available. Enjoy a 30 minute flight that offers great aerial views of both cities. Weekend deals are available at many hotels. You can take in  a Broadway show, eat at fine restaurants, and visit the museums and other sites that New York City has to offer. The round trip cost for the service is $149; the one way fare is just $79.

If you don’t have time to stay for the whole weekend, you can take the seaplane one way and travel the other way on the train. Should you want to charter the aircraft and go on your own schedule, the seaplane carries up to nine passengers at a cost of $2395.
