On Thursday, September 28th, Shoreline Aviation introduced new seaplane services directly to the town of Madison, Connecticut. This project was initiated by members of the Madison Planning and Economic Development Commission and Biehn Travel to promote Madison as a great place to live and visit. Shoreline’s seaplanes land near Tuxis Island in Long Island Sound, and a convenient launch service shuttles passengers between the airplane and West Wharf. Flights are now available between Madison and New York City’s 23rd Street Seaplane Base on the East River in Manhattan. For business people living in Madison and commuting on a regular basis, it’s the fastest way to get to the city (35 minutes) and the view is unbeatable. If you’re traveling from New York to Madison to stay at one of the hotels or a bed and breakfast, we can deliver you in style. We can also design seaplane flight packages for special events such as weddings, parties or theater trips to New York City.
For local residents or visitors who would like to experience the thrill of a seaplane ride, Shoreline is offering Fall Foliage trips along the Connecticut River. Viewing the changing leaf colors from above provides a whole new perspective. Flights are from 30 to 45 minutes and could include a stop for lunch at the Gelston House in East Haddam. Another option includes taking passengers across Long Island Sound and along the South Shore of Long Island where you can view the Montauk Lighthouse and the beaches and homes of The Hamptons.

Shoreline Aviation has been providing aircraft charter services in Connecticut since 1980. Our business originated at the old Griswold Airport in Madison, which is now a park for local residents. We are happy to be back providing service to the residents of this beautiful New England town.
